This Election Portal ("amolnama") is operated by AKTIFUL as a public information platform for the Bangladesh National Election 2026. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the platform:
Device Fingerprint: A locally generated anonymous identifier based on your browser and device characteristics. This is stored only in your browser's local storage and used to associate your votes and favorites with your device. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
Votes and Favorites: Your upvotes, downvotes, and favorite candidate selections are stored on our servers, associated with your anonymous device fingerprint.
Comments: If you post comments on candidate pages, the comment text is stored along with your device fingerprint and a timestamp.
Uploaded Content: Editors may upload photos, biographies, and other content related to candidates. This content is publicly visible.

How We Use Information
Device Fingerprint: To prevent duplicate voting and to let you manage your favorites list across sessions on the same device.
Votes: To calculate and display aggregate vote counts and popularity rankings.
Comments: To display public discussion on candidate pages.
Uploaded Content: To display candidate information publicly on the platform.
Data Storage
All data is stored on our servers in JSON flat-file format. We do not use external databases or cloud storage services. Your device fingerprint is generated and stored locally in your browser — we only receive a hashed version when you interact with the platform.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties. Aggregate statistics (total votes, popularity rankings) are displayed publicly on the platform but cannot be linked to individual users.
Your Rights
Anonymity: You use this platform anonymously. No account creation is required.
Data Deletion: Clearing your browser's local storage will remove your device fingerprint, effectively dissociating your device from any previous votes or favorites.
Comment Removal: You can delete your own comments. Admins may also remove comments that violate community guidelines.
Third-Party Services
This platform uses the following external resources:
Google Fonts: For loading the Noto Sans Bengali typeface. Google's privacy policy applies to font loading.
jsDelivr CDN: For loading open-source JavaScript libraries.
No advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics services are used.

This platform is a public information portal and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal information is collected from any user, there is no specific children's data to protect.
